Join fellow attendees for an afternoon of golf at the Coronado Golf Course located just a shuttle-ride away from the hotel. Opened in 1957, it is rated as one of the best public golf courses in the nation, boasting beautiful San Diego harbor and downtown views. The course measures 6,590 yards from the blue tees and is a par 72. Immaculate greens, wide inviting fairways and dramatic views coupled with incomparable weather, make Coronado a must-play for all golfers year round. The tournament will begin promptly at 1:30 p.m. with a shotgun start. Dress code includes collared shirts, no cut-offs, and no halter tops. Please be sure to indicate on your registration form if you require rental clubs (additional fee applies). A boxed lunch and three (3) drink tickets are included in the fee. Transportation to/from the course will be on your own. Foursome assignments will be posted at the IECA registration desk located at the Registration Atrium.

Tequila, Tacos, and Tombstones combine food and history into one of a kind, unforgettable experience. Travel back in time with us as we explore the Birthplace of California and the events and people who have transformed Old Town San Diego into the cultural destination it is today. Come with us on one of the most in-depth tours of Old Town as your knowledgeable tour guide takes you on a journey through the historical eras, from the early Spanish settlements to the establishment of Mexican Independence to the California Gold Rush. Join us for a night of authentic food tastings, traditional cocktail samplings, and fun!

We'll be networking out on the patio giving all attendees a chance to catch up with colleagues and meet some new ones! This event is geared towards new members who may be new to the IECA and/or the energy credit industry. Come make new connections and gain knowledge of the association & industry. Appetizers with buffet dinner and drinks included in the event fee.

Join your fellow IECA colleagues by participating in our new wellness initiative! This 45-minute private session on-site features Coronado Island’s finest instructors through Beats by Dre headphones and the latest in spin cycling technology. The class will overlook the hotel’s 81-slip marina on the bay, energizing you for the rest of the day. Nothing gets you geared up for a day of education and networking like a morning spin class!


 

Tennis Courts

Take advantage of the beautiful San Diego weather and enjoy a little outdoor tennis action during the conference! The IECA has reserved a tennis court for conference participants from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 1 for those who wish to play. Grab a group to play for a casual and fun way to network and break a sweat at the same time.

Currently the tennis courts at the hotel are under construction, so in order to play, attendees can borrow balls and rackets from the hotel spa and ask a valet to take them to the courts at The Cay. Transportation via valet to the The Cay and playing time will be free for attendees during our reserved timeframe. To reserve your rackets and tennis balls, go to the front desk of the spa and let the staff know you would like to play tennis and how many racquets you need. You can then go to the valet desk and request to go to The Ceys to play tennis. 

 

The Yacht Experience

You are encouraged to join us in your best white apparel (not mandatory) for this themed yachting experience, sailing out to enjoy the San Diego skyline! We will voyage out on the California Spirit, the newest and most upgraded addition to the Flagship Cruises and Events fleet of yachts. This 158-foot vessel brings with it a carefree yet sophisticated style of cruising, with its unobstructed 360-degree views from every level, two climates controlled levels with open-air decks, state of the art sound system and two full-service cocktail bars.

We will begin with the Networking Reception at 5:30 p.m. located on the deck of the yacht stationed at port, giving attendees a beautiful view while networking and enjoying cocktails. Those that wish to not attend the Networking Dinner out at sea will then have the opportunity to disembark.

The dinner will commence at 7:00 p.m. and we will sail within the San Diego Bay (North and South sides), enjoying sights such as Seaport Village, Harbor Island, Shelter Island, Point Loma, Coronado Bridge, and Glorie while eating and networking with colleagues.
