New Basel Regulatory Standards for Banks
Time: Sunday, March 22, 2020 - 9:30am to 10:30am
The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) has proposed changes in regulations for banks generally referred to as Basel IV. The current state of the suggested changes would rework the approach to risk-weighted assets (RWA) and possibly internal ratings, as well as set regulatory capital floors. This session will focus on explaining the changes and timing and their impact on banks’ credit quality and willingness to provide liquidity to the energy industry under the new capital regime.
