This session will provide foundational information about the RECs market including why RECs exist and the legal and regulatory background of RECs. The presenter will provide practical insights into the REC markets based on real life experience and describe the practical elements of transacting RECs utilizing REC registries. This session will cover documentation best practices and common terms found in REC agreements, including change in law, termination and default rights and credit requirements and provide a framework for thinking about these proprietary terms in absence of an industry master agreement.
