Regulatory Affairs and Market Policy


Mr. Wadsworth has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry with diverse experience in regulatory, market policy, commercial, and operational management in electricity markets. He specializes in integrating regulatory and commercial functions within the competitive wholesale electricity markets as well as leading organizations through business paradigm shifts resulting from changes in market structures and regulations. Over the past 8 years, Mr. Wadsworth has led Vitol Inc.’s market policy and regulatory advocacy activity within many of the governance forums of the organized RTO/ISO markets of the United States, at the United States Congress and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and at various State governments. In addition, Mr. Wadsworth is a founding member of the Energy Trading Institute, a Washington, DC based association that advocates for competitive, open, and transparent energy market design, and currently serves as a Board of Directors member of the Environmental Markets Association. Mr. Wadsworth has a B.A. in economics with a minor in mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in economics from George Washington University.
